Shield Message is a automated messaging platform that allows users to create and schedule messages to be automatically sent to designated recipients if the user fails to check in within a specified timeframe (deadman switch). The service is designed to ensure important messages reach their intended recipients in emergency situations or extended periods of unavailability.

3. Google Account Information Usage

Shield Message accesses limited information from your Google account solely for platform functionality. We collect and use only your email address for account identification and authentication, and your Google username for display purposes. All Google account information stored in our database can be permanently removed by deleting your messages through your account dashboard. To request complete account deletion and removal from our authentication system, please contact us at contact@shieldmessage.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We do not share, sell, or distribute your email address or any other personal information to third parties, except as necessary to deliver your failsafe messages through our email service and text message providers.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Shield Message, you agree to:

• Set appropriate deadman switch durations based on your check-in patterns
• Regularly check in to prevent unintended message delivery
• Not use the service for illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes

5. Message Delivery and Deadman Switch

Shield Message monitors your check-in activity and automatically sends your failsafe messages when your deadman switch timer expires. By creating a message, you authorize us to send it to your designated recipients if you fail to check in within the specified timeframe. While we strive for reliable service, we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or delivery success. You acknowledge that:

• Messages may be delayed due to technical issues or service interruptions
• Recipient email servers may reject or filter messages
• You are responsible for verifying recipient email addresses are correct
• Once a message is sent, it cannot be recalled or unsent
• Messages containing inappropriate, harmful, threatening, or spam content may be flagged and blocked by email providers, preventing delivery to recipients
